Matt manages all Commercial opportunities, off-air rights exploitation and the management and creation of new content for digital platforms such as Zig Zag’s YouTube channels. Matt is also responsible for brand-funded content and leads the company’s international opportunities and a number of co-production relationships. He was previously an Executive Consultant with ZigZag managing the companies Joint Ventures with Israeli partners.
Matt has worked as a New Business Executive and Branded Content Agent and from 2009 – 2012 was Senior Director at Viacom International Media Networks, overseeing the content output of the CEEMEA music brands; 18 channels across 27 countries (MTV, VH1 & VIVA), he managed the regional commissioning editors & developed the International commissioning strategy, and commissioned content for MTV International. He also managed the networks interests in Israel, working with licensee partners to launch the local MTV, Comedy Central and Nick Jnr channels.
Prior to that, he was Head of Production & Relationship Manager at MTV Networks Internationals Emerging Markets group where he oversaw Production and On-Air Creative for the region. He has worked on Channel launches in the Balkans, Baltic States, Turkey, Hungary, Poland, Romania, South Africa, UAE, Russia and Israel and cut his teeth in Music Television Production, producing and directing live studio performances, documentaries and news features as well as working on large scale award shows.
