Filmed in High Definition, Armoured Cars looks at the increasing need for bullet and bomb protective vehicles.  The programme focuses on the technology of Armoured Cars, using live fire demonstrations to show their effectiveness against bullets and explosions.  We look at the history of the US Presidential Limousine, the world’s most advanced armoured car.  We travel to Mexico City, where the increasing danger of kidnap and assassination has made the armoured car a necessity to many people.  The programme also looks to the future of armoured cars in the shape of the US Military SmarTruck, an armoured car for the 21st Century.
