The company focuses on making high quality, good value television programmes for the global market that are distinct in attitude and tone.
Started by Danny Fenton and Kevin Utton in 1999, Zig Zag has made almost 500 hours of programming to date. Ranging from top end factual documentaries to ground breaking entertainment series, Zig Zag caters for a varied range of worldwide broadcasters. The company is based in bespoke offices in Clerkenwell, London with a U.S. office based in New York.
Zig Zag was recently voted the 5th most respected U.K Production company by its peers in the Televisual Top 100.
In early 2011 Zig Zag was also nominated for a Broadcast Digital Award for Freddie Flintoff Versus The World "ITV4 needs beacons such as this", said the judges, who noted how Freddie Flintoff brought personality, press coverage and a new audience to the channel. The series featured Flintoff taking part in extreme challenges in a bid to gain insight into the psyche of sports professionals. "It had wide appeal, combining travel and sport with a good dose of humour" said the judges.
